All future executives must be able to work in an international environment, whether in their home country or abroad. International experience is therefore at the heart of ESSCA's programmes: at least one international semester is required, starting in the student's third year. A number of options are available: a corporate internship, an exchange with a partner university, or one of the international semesters organised by ESSCA at Fondation ESSCA in Hungary or on the Shanghai campus.
Some students may also partake in a second international semester again in the form of an internship or an academic exchange during the Master programme.
Foreign academic options are managed by the International Relations Department based in Angers. A team of seven individuals is responsible for this programme and works closely with a colleague on the Paris site, as well as with the teams in Budapest and Shanghai.
International internships are managed by the Internship Department, which provides students with the mission offers submitted by businesses and regularly informs them of related procedures, while providing support to individual searches

‘’In addition to their essential nature, international programmes introduce us to the unknown and allow us to withdraw from our comfort zones and therefore learn more about ourselves." |

Stephen Farge followed an MBA programme at Illinois State University - USA
"The MBA programme at Illinois State University is a real opportunity for me to validate my capacity to work in an Anglophone context. It allows me to study among students who have gathered significant work experience in the US or internationally. This two-year programme is also a great way to deeply understand the American culture and enjoy the multiple activities and events on campus." |
