Founded in Angers in 1909, ESSCA is a business school ("grande école") that offers management programmes for which students can register upon graduating from secondary school.
A member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, ESSCA grants an accredited post-secondary (Bac +5) Master diploma. Four specialisations are proposed starting in the fourth year of the programme: marketing, management, finance, and finance through internships.
ESSCA has four campuses located in Angers, Paris, Budapest and Shanghai. Its international programme is based on partnerships with 160 universities in over 40 countries. It is the first post-secondary business school to have been EPAS-accredited for programme excellence, its international offering and its close ties to businesses. ESSCA was declared eligible in 2010 and has recently initiated the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation process.
In addition to the first year entrance exam, ESSCA offers direct admission into the Master programme for students who have an accredited post-secondary degree (Bac +3 or 4).
The approved Master diploma (Bac +5) can also be obtained through continuing education. Furthermore, the School offers a number of programmes and training modules for executives, managers and operational teams.
ESSCA's values are based on humanism, placing the student at the heart of the educational project, thereby favouring personal fulfilment and a search for excellence.
